SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting: 1H 2021 Release Highlights
Stay Home! Stay Safe!!
Here comes the next one in the series of blogs on 1H 2021 – SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting.
Like LMS, I couldn’t see anything great other than advanced search. Most of the updates are applicable to the customers who has Career Site Builder and Job Postings in place.
So, let’s see what’s in the store:
- Improvements to Advanced Search of Universal People Search: Best of 1H, I say. The advanced search of Universal People Search is now enhanced to display search results indicating the multiple employment types for global assignments and concurrent employments.
The additional capabilities of advanced search are:
- Display a new column in the search results to indicate contingent workers.
- Show relevant results when searching for names with or without accent characters.
The following Recruiting pages support the Advanced search:
- Short Requisition Create
- Copy Existing Job Requisition
- Job Requisition Details
- Offer Approval
Configuration Type: Universal
- Enhanced Cookie Management Settings in Career Site Builder: This innovation is coming from customer ideas. The CSB has improved its cookie banner and cookie consent manager settings, so that visitors to the public career site can customize their cookie settings. This has been a request from customers from long time, they needed a way to present a detailed list of cookies used on their career sites, as well as give visitors the ability to accept or deny the use of specific cookies. Majority, coming from organizations to meet government compliance requirements.
- Configuration Type: Admin Opt-in
Note: The Career Site Builder permission Appearance Settings > JavaScript, has been renamed to JavaScript & Cookie Manager to accommodate the new feature.
- Ability to Edit Existing Category Page Names in Career Site Builder (CSB): Nice to have, in the previous versions, changing a category name was performed in the backend Command Center tool by Professional Services or by an implementation partner or SAP Support. Now SAP SuccessFactors team allows customer to edit the names of category pages even after they were initially saved with a different name.
- Configuration Type: Universal
- Posting a Job to Multiple Locations in Recruiting Posting: After advance search enhancement, this looks promising as a part of 1H, Jobs can now be posted to multiple locations at once on the job boards that support multiple locations. Now, Location is a new category that saves the Location, Postcode, and the Country/Region information, and a new mapping named Map to location Foundation Object (Multiple locations supported) is introduced to the job posting rule to fetch the Foundation Object location information. When posting the jobs to multiple locations, you can set the Field Completion Rules to auto-populate the location information with default values or the Location Foundation Object defined in the job requisition template. Also, the Location Foundation Object mapping in the job posting rule supports multiple locations.
- Configuration Type: Universal
Note: This feature is only available with the job boards that supports multiple locations, for those which don’t support multiple locations, only the primary location is seen to post the jobs.
- New Job Boards in the Job Board Market Place: SAP is listening! They have added new job boards to the Job Board Market Place based on the requests pouring from every corner.
The additional job boards in the Job Board Market Place that you can link to the Recruiting Posting interfaces are as follows, the list is enhancing, keep an eye in the instance:
- Career Connections – Canada
- gouv.fr – France
- com – France
- no – Norway
- sk – Slovakia
- net (The Network) – Spain
- ch – Switzerland
- vn – Vietnam
- Configuration Type: Universal
- SSL Certificate Renewal Reminders for Career Sites: Can we call this as a Saviour? Finally, SAP SuccessFactors did the best thing. SF Recruiting will now proactively reminds organizations when their career site’s SSL certificate needs to be renewed. Administrators can enable a switch for specific admin users to receive email reminders. In addition, Career Site Builder automatically displays a pop-up reminder about the pending expiration when anyone logs in. looks good right?
- Configuration Type: Universal
- Site Source Editor in Career Site Builder: Ok-ish! The Site Source Editor, which allows Recruiting users to specify what sources are available in the Recruiting Source Tracker, is now available in Career Site Builder. This allows CSB administrators to be able to directly control what source engines could be used for the Source Tracker, without having to contact Professional Services, an implementation partner, or SAP Support. A new permission, Site Source Editor, has been added for Career Site Builder-specific roles.
- Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In
As said, nothing great could be seen in 1H 2021. Hope to see great things coming in 2H 2021.
