SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting: 1H 2022 Release Highlights

The recruitment landscape is constantly evolving, and businesses need to stay ahead of the curve to attract and retain the best talent, especially in the new business world that has radically changed with COVID-19 . With that in mind, we continue to adjust to new ways of working, the one thing that remains top of mind for leaders is that organizational success is built on employee success. And employees perform at their best when they’re given the right resources to boost engagement, motivation, and productivity.

Let’s take a look at some exciting and significant release features for SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting as a part of 1H 2022. Already in preview as of April 15, 2022, the 1H 2022 release will be in production on May 20, 2022.

KEY CHANGES/ ENHANCEMENTS

  • Replacement of DocuSign Authentication Method for Recruiting Integrations

The existing settings that enable electronic signature functionality in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting offer letters are being replaced with new fields due to DocuSign changing its authentication method from basic to OAuth 2.0. Recruiting customers using basic authentication for DocuSign need to update their configuration settings by September 2022.

  • More Quick Actions on the Latest Home Page

Quick actions are visible based on role-based permission and system configuration. The following quick actions are now available for recruiting specifically:

Candidate Talent Pools quick action takes you to the Talent Pools tab of the Candidates page in Recruiting, so you can create and view talent pools.

  • Deprecation of eQuest Job Posting Integration with Recruiting

The eQuest job posting integration with Recruiting will reach End of Development on May 21, 2022 and will be deleted on November 11, 2022.

You can’t configure new integrations with eQuest anymore in Provisioning. You won’t see the Enable Job Board Posting – eQuest switch in Provisioning and this switch is no more a prerequisite to use the Set Up Job Board Options admin tool.

As part of this deprecation, the existing job postings will continue to appear on the job boards. You can remove the posted jobs using the Job Postings page but you can’t post a new job, update, or repost an existing posting.

  • Anonymize Selected Job Applications in Recruiting

You can now anonymize sensitive job application data that was missed during initial anonymization.

While creating a purge request for inactive job applications from the Data Retention Management admin tool, you now have a new option, Selected Job Applications, which anonymizes the sensitive data (missed during initial anonymization) on a list of job applications that you can upload in CSV format. This feature is applicable for both Data Retention Time Management (DRTM) and Data Retention Management (Legacy DRM) purge request types for inactive job applications.
  • Post Externally Posted Private Jobs to Job Boards

You can now post the externally posted private jobs to job boards even though the job is not publicly posted to the external corporate sites. This enhancement has been introduced because some countries/regions, legally, have to post jobs on specific job boards for a particular time before posting them on the external career site.

  • New Manual User Synchronization in Recruiting Posting

It is now possible for administrators to trigger the synchronization of Recruiting Posting users manually, allowing new users to access the job posting tools.

Earlier, customers had to either wait until 5:00 a.m. GMT until the next automatic synchronization of their users, or had to raise a support ticket to get it synchronized for them. Now, administrators can manually synchronize users by clicking the button “Synchronize Users” available in recruiting posting.

  • Deprecation of Requisition Reports

The Requisition Reports will reach the end of maintenance on November 19, 2021, and will be deleted on May 20, 2022.

  • Autopopulated Subject Line in Recruiting Email Campaigns

When you create a new campaign email in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, the Email Subject Line field now automatically populates with the text you provide in the content template. The Email Subject Line field, which is a standard field in email campaign content templates you create in Manage Email Campaign Content Templates, allows you to write a subject line to associate with the specific templates you save. This text you specify now automatically appears in the subject line of the email campaign.

RELEASE MANAGEMENT

Be sure to have a release strategy in place to manage the bi-annual release. With the release around the corner in preview instance , these are some questions as SuccessFactors customer you should ask on managing the release:

1. Are my existing processes affected by any of the release items?
2. Will the new release features fit within the existing business process or should we create a new process?
3. What is my testing strategy?
4. Are my admins and end-users prepared for the change?
5. What resources from SAP can I leverage to help me with the release management?

I hope you have an insight into the 1H 2022 recruiting related significant release through this blog and some critical questions you are able to ask for managing release items successfully.
