Hello SAP World!

Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself and give a quick background of my experience and etc.  I’m currently looking to become an SAP consultant and I’m hoping to get a SAP certification through the digital skills initiative program.

I started my SAP journey by inheriting a production line that was already on SAP from a sister facility, our current facility had just been bought by Siemens and they were developing their implementation strategy.  I found out on a Monday they were moving in on Thursday and that I would be their supervisor, and everything would remain on SAP. I learned and adapted quickly and preferred it much more over BAAN that we were using.  After working through an NPI and other production issues and learning a LOT about SAP I was recruited to our procurement and planning team about a year after and was a super user for their department.  Since then I’ve helped clean up previous “dirty” implementations, startup implementations, and cutover implementations from systems like JDE, GP, Netsuite, and etc.  My SAP skills and knowledgebase align with procurement, production planning, operations, material master, and a little bit of AP/AR.

I’m excited to try to get these certifications and become a consultant and work with a system I enjoy.  Business needs and technology is always changing and as such SAP makes advancements to stay up to speed, I look forward to staying up to speed with the changes rolled out so I can help customers make the best decision for their needs.

Thanks!
