Dear experts,
we are trying to experiment with the hybrid Fiori/GUI expierence, described in this Devtobertfest session: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihxl85uXrjc
We have installed the newest versions of NWBC and GUI on a local machine and created a connection with type “Fiori launchpad”, the GUI fallback is set to “SAP GUI for Windows”. FLP can be opened and operated without problems.
However, when we try to launch a classical transaction like VA02, NWBC does not launch an embedded version of SAP GUI for Windows but instead tries to launch SAP GUI for HTML (which fails with an error saying “This location is not explicitly marked as safe in Internet Explorer zone model”).
Are we missing a setting here? The way I understood the session was that SAP NWBC should not launch the webgui service but an embedded version of SAP GUI for Windows? Otherwise there would be no point in using NWBC over the browser based FLP.
