Future SAP consultant here just expressing my gratitude and interest in the digital skills initiative program! I’ve used a lot of MRP/ERP systems throughout my career but SAP is by far the one I prefer to work in.
I hit a few of the guidelines for the underrepresented candidates for this program:
- Military veterans – former Intelligence Analyst
- Single parent – 2 kids
- Diagnosed with ADD 4 years ago (drastically helped learning to cope with structure and etc)
- Geographically limited to career opportunities – with shared custody of my kids their are limited options within a valid commute and remote options are very competitive
- First generation college students – first one in my immediate family to pursue a college degree. Looking to supplement the SAP certifications with a degree in Information Systems
- People looking to switch their careers mid-life – Looking to use the knowledge I’ve gained in the MFG industry and going through a few implementations to lead me to a career in SAP Consulting.
All in all I’ve been through ~5 SAP implementations and/or cleanups. I’ve worked with cross functional partners to make sure our design would work for all parties involved and worked directly with the consultants and used past SAP setups to come up with a solution that would work for our current needs.
Thanks again!
