Hello,
I would like to leave my feedback about the platform.
I am facing problems when exporting to the web version. I made a previous post on the subject, but received no response. I’m frustrated, as I previously used https://forums.appgyver.com/, where things were easier and more productive. There were lots of tutorials and the forum was very engaging. However, with the recent changes, the situation has worsened regarding the forum.
I would like to share a little of my journey and suggest improvements to “SAP Builder”.
Honestly, with three years of experience using the platform, I realize that it is not possible to advance much. Here are some reasons why it’s not feasible to create a medium to large complex app or website.
Firstly, I was forced to learn programming in Python to be able to create APIs and integrate them with “SAP Builder”. I hoped to create a successful startup using Python APIs and JavaScript snippets. However, my dream was frustrated, as the builder keeps crashing when I try to create a startup using only APIs, caching and JavaScript. This occurs in both the web and mobile versions, when I export to (.apk, .html, .css, .javascript).
The platform doesn’t support many elements on one page, even if I simplify it across multiple pages. Either way, the system crashes and slows down. I’ve done several tests, even on supercomputers, and the project still shows slowness and crashes.
For example, if I create an API to list 300 rows of data in “SAP Builder”, it crashes even though it is a single page application. Carrying out the same procedure on other platforms such as Bubble.io or WordPress, everything works perfectly. I’m most familiar with “SAP Builder”, which has great potential but lacks focus on performance improvements. It would be possible to create large-scale web and .apk applications if it weren’t for this slowness.
I would be willing to pay for “SAP Builder” if there was support for improvements to the builder. I’m frustrated because I don’t have time to learn programming right now. I am experiencing health problems and my focus is to create a startup using my knowledge of Python and JavaScript. I analyzed that it is possible to create large projects in a short term (1 week), while pure code (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) could take months. However, the previously reported slowness impedes this progress.
I’m lost, as everything was supposed to work, but my three-year experience with “SAP Builder” leads me to conclude that it’s not possible to move forward with the platform in its current state. Other companies are focused on AI and technological advancements, as well as improvements and new features. “SAP Builder” is falling behind because it does not support essential web features such as sliders, videos with a native player, animations between functional pages, modern design elements for the mobile version, and the ability to handle large volumes of data of API without crashing in the .apk version.
To improve, it is crucial that “SAP Builder” implements robust support for these features. The platform needs to be able to manage large amounts of API data without compromising performance, both in the web and .apk versions. Additionally, it is important to include features such as sliders and smooth animations between pages for a better user experience. Support for large-scale CSS and JavaScript is also essential, as is ensuring animation elements work correctly. Without these improvements, the platform will not be able to compete with others that already offer these capabilities and continue to advance technologically. I, and many other users, would be willing to pay for “SAP Builder” if there was a clear commitment to continuous improvement and adequate support.
Therefore, I ask that other users also speak out in favor of these improvements. It is essential that the platform offers more resources, even if they are paid, to ensure better performance and functionality.
I would like to pay for the platform, but I hope the main issues are resolved. I finished a virtual banking project, which performs automatic bank transfers and automatic deposits using Python APIs on my own server. I did all the tests and used encryption in the APIs, but the project was stopped due to the limitations of “SAP Builder”. The platform does not support many features, which causes slowness, even when reducing logic. Although it is possible to use, there are errors when exporting to the web version (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), which in the case of “SAP Builder” is React Native.
Thank you for your attention and I hope you consider these improvements to make the platform more efficient and robust.
