S/4HANA for Public Cloud: error message EU519 “You are not authorized… S_DEVELOP)”

Hello SAP Community,

I am currently working with SAP Public Cloud Edition Professional Services and have encountered an issue that I am unable to resolve. I would appreciate any help or guidance regarding the error I am facing.

Due to an authorization issue, the customizing for revenue account determination customizing cannot be finished. The error occurs during the customizing of the app “SIMG” (“Implementation Activities,” i.e., the customizing). The following screenshots were taken in the Customizing tenant.

Reproducing the error:

1 – First, a new condition table 501 was created in customizing.

2 – It is a standard customizing setting, where a created condition table must be modified again. This is done via the customizing jump “Change Condition Tables for Revenue Account Determination.”

3 – Enter the table name and “Change.”

4 – Click on “Generate.”

5 – This message appears, but it does not seem like the source of the coming problem.

6 – Click on “Generated Object.”

7 – Switch to change mode:

8 – This message appears, preventing changes: “You are not authorized to make changes (authorization object S_DEVELOP)” – Message no EU519

The authorization object S_DEVELOP is an authorization object o SAP GUI, i.e., an object that would be defined in the PFCG for the role. It cannot be changed by the Identity Management apps of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud edition where restriction types are use.

This means that a separate authorization system must exist for the settings within the app “SIMG”? But where?

We tried the same in the Development system. As soon the customizing for changing the condition table ist startet the following message appears.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Best regards,

Martin
