Help:Production Planning with Multiple Routing Sequences

I am working at a Printed Circuit Board manufacturing industry, with over 25 processes. I am currently implementing SAP in my company. I have created two SFG and one FG and maintained a lead time for each in its master data. I am also making use of scheduling lines. SFG 1 – Lead time=5 Days, SFG 2 Lead time = 15 Days and FG lead Time = 10 days, Total Lead 30 days. So, when I choose a scheduling agreement for an Order of Nov 25, it will automatically give me a start date of October 25th which is good.

Similarly, it schedules a date for my SFG and FG. However, after my first SFG, there are 15 processes. The scheduling dates are only given at 3 stages. So at a production planning level, SAP is only helping me with my launch dates.I feel like there should be some solution to define a routing sequence wise lead time, so my planning is streamlined and I know if there is a delay in any one process by it reflecting on the delivery date as well. (For example, lead time of Process A is 3 days and I take 5 days, so my delivery date should automatically be delayed by 2 days. Due to this, my sales team can then plan or communicate with customers accordingly. Furthermore, there is no capacity wise planning mechanism either. So, I do not know if there is a specific launch date for more products than I can load on any given day.

Due to all these factors, my planning in SAP seems to be sub-par and not up to expectation for such a world renowned software. So I believe, there should be some way for my concerns to be met and planning to be streamlined according to above. If you can give any suggestions, I will communicate the same to my SAP partners.

Any help is appreciated. #ProductionPlanning #Manufacturing
